JASO (Japanese Automobile Standards Organization) heeft met JASO T 903 een eigen norm ontwikkeld voor 4-takt motorfietsoliën. De gradaties MA, MA1 en MA2 vergemakkelijken de selectie van motoroliën die speciaal zijn ontwikkeld voor natte koppelingen. JASO MA2 staat voor de hoogste wrijvingswaarden en dus voor een optimale koppelingscompatibiliteit bij het schakelen, tijdens de acceleratiefase en ook bij constant hoge snelheden.
